Fattoria Voltrona
One of the first farm holiday centres opened in Tuscany, this family-run property is set on the outskirts of San Gimignano, in the centre of a triangle formed by Florence, Siena and Volterra. Extensive gardens surround the farmhouses at Voltrona where you can relax or read a book. While there you can pass the time hiking, horseback riding and cycling along country roads, through forests, villages, archaeological sites and rural hamlets. You can also can fish in the Farm?s pond and, of course, take a dip in the swimming pool. During your stay you can discover the jewels of Medieval Tuscan architecture, such as Siena, Colle Val D?Elsa, Certaldo, and Monteriggioni, all located very near the farm. Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Vinci, the Sienese crete, Chianti classico and the Tyrrhenian coast can also be easily visited.
